I offer both short term and longer-term therapy as I understand that each individual’s needs and circumstances are different.
After experiencing many different challenges throughout my life, I know how daunting it can be to reach out for support when things become overwhelming. Both my personal and professional experiences have enhanced my belief in the benefits of engaging with counselling. With this in mind, I will work with you, at your own pace without judgement, whilst we take time together to explore your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviours. This can help you to enhance your self-awareness and listen more to your own voice in order to reconnect with your inner self.
Within my practice I offer a safe and supportive therapeutic environment which allows you the space to understand past experiences that have impacted the way you feel about yourself so that you can choose to take steps towards positive change. You are the expert on you because nobody else knows exactly what it’s like to be you.
As well as running my private practice, I worked for Burton and District Mind for 6 years, both as a school counsellor for students aged 16 to 18 years and a counsellor for adults who referred in to the service. I also previously worked as a volunteer counsellor at West Leicestershire Mind for 5 years where I worked one to one with clients from age 16 years upwards.
